Get transferred from Haridwar to Auli

  • Get transferred from Haridwar to Auli.

What to Pack for Auli Trek

What to Pack for Auli Trek
  • Trekking shoes: Carry sturdy trekking shoes and not sports shoes. Since the slope will be slippery, a pair of shoes with good grip is necessary.

  • Backpack (40-60 liters): A strong backpack with durable straps and a good supporting frame is necessary. Do not forget to carry rain covers for your backpack.

  • Clothes: It is recommended that you wear layers as it gives you the maximum protection in the weather. The temperature fluctuates in the mountain and you can take on and off layers according to your comfort and ease. Carry 3 tshirts, 3 insulation layers, one outer layer which could very well be a padded jacket and two trek pants.

  • Accessories: Sunglasses, suncap, balaclava, trekking pole, headlamp

Essentials:

  • A toiletry Kit - Carry the basics in your kit, like toothbrush, paste, a small soap, moisturizer, lip balm, a roll-on and a tissue roll. There is no possibility of bathing during your trek so there is no need to overload the kit with soaps and shampoos.

  • Cutlery - Carry a leakproof lunch box along with a mug and a spoon. It is recommended that you wash your own cutlery in the trek as it ensures absolute hygiene and you can avoid the risk of inviting germs and bacteria to settle on your cutlery.

  • Two 1 liter bottles or a 2 liter hydration pack - Keep yourself hydrated over distance by carrying 2 1 liter water bottles or a hydration pack of 2 liters.

  • Plastic Covers - Carry plastic covers to store your used or wet clothes. It is recommended that you reuse plastic bags for this and do not buy new ones.

By Air - Jollygrant is the nearest airport to Auli, which is situated in Dehradun. You can choose to fly to the Jolly Grant airport and from here you will get taxis to Jolly Grant airport.

By Rail - The nearest railway station to Auli is Rishikesh airport, from here you will get many buses and taxis to Auli.

By road - Auli is well connected via NH7, you can take any bus to Haridwar, Rishikesh or Srinaar from Kashmiri Gate, DElhi and from these places there are many vehicles plying till Auli.
