Sangamchatti Adaptation Day
Take pleasure in the pleasing road trip of 7 hours to Uttarkashi along the narrow Ganga and Bhagirathi Valley.
On the way, stop for supper and short breaks. The road passes through the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers at Devprayag.
By early nightfall, get stretched to Sangamchatti, a pleasingly attractive village marketplace that will be the starting point of your long, hard journey.

Stay in Sangamchatti for Day 1 only.
Enjoy the Bonfire in the evening along with a meal at the campsite only.
Trekking shoes: the trekking route is long and you will have to walk long distances, so you will need comfortable trekking shoes.
Backpack (40-60 liters): A backpack with sturdy straps and a load-bearing frame. A rain cover for the backpack is essential.
Make sure you have the right clothes as per the season so that you are protected during the trek.
- Three (five in winter) warm layers: You will be trekking and camping at high altitudes. So make sure you have the right clothes for the climatic conditions. It will be cold at the higher elevations, so you should have at least three layers of warm clothing to protect you.
- Two pairs of trekking pants: One pair of pants should be enough for this hike. However, you can bring a spare pair of pants in case the first pair gets wet. Put on a pair of pants and take one with you.
Two collared T-shirts: Take lightweight, full-sleeved T-shirts that prevent sunburn on the neck and arms. Again, wear one and take one with you.
Thermal pants (optional): Those who are more susceptible to the cold can take thermal pants for the night.
- Sunglasses: Carry sunglasses to prevent snow blindness.
- Synthetic gloves: One pair of fleece or wool gloves. One pair of waterproof/resistant windproof gloves.
- Balaclava: You can use wool scarves as well as Balaclavas.
- Socks (2 pairs): In addition to two sports socks, you can also take a pair of wool socks for the night.

Daypack (20 liters): If you unload your backpack, you will need a smaller backpack to carry water, medical supplies, and some light snacks.
