Arrive at Kanatal
On the first day of your Kanatal trek check-in at the campsite by 12 noon.
Get yourself settled at the camp and enjoy a delicious lunch.
Post lunch, get ready for an adventure-filled day exploring the Kodia Jungle.
The trek is about 4 km and will take you deep into the dense pine forest where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air, immerse in beautiful scenery and spot wildlife.
Here you can spot the musk deer, wild boar, and nilgai.
After this, get ready for some adventure activities like zip lining and valley crossing.
Return to the campsite in the evening and relax by the roaring bonfire.
Enjoy a hearty dinner and stay overnight at the camp
Kanatal to Surkanda Devi Temple and Tehri Lake
Enjoy a fresh cup of tea in the early morning and a sumptuous breakfast at the campsite before heading out.
This morning you will be heading to Surkanda Devi temple which is a 5 km trek through a dense oak and pine forest.
Once you reach the temple, enjoy the incredible views and rest a while before heading back to the campsite.
Indulge in a delicious lunch at the campsite and rest for a while.
Later in the afternoon head to another adventure filled afternoon at Tehri Lake.
Take up speed boat rides, jet skiing, boating etc while you are here.
Return to the Kanatal campsite for dinner and overnight stay as the second day of your Kanatal trek ends.

Today is the end of your Kanatal trek.
Enjoy the crisp morning air and sunrise as you sip your hot tea.
Dig into a warm breakfast and then get ready to leave .
Check out from the campsite and head towards your destination.
Warm clothes - Pack warm clothes even if you are going for your trek in the summer season. Outdoors, even in the middle of summer, temperatures drop drastically at night and in the mornings in Kanatal. During winters it snows here so carry appropriate clothes. Best is to wear layers.
Medicines - Always carry emergency medicines for cold, cough, stomach problems, ointments for cuts and bruises, etc. as well as any prescription drugs that you need.
Shoes - Pack proper trekking shoes with good grip to ensure you do not feel any discomfort while trekking. An uncomfortable pair of shoes can ruin your whole trip. Also, do not forget to pack flip flops or slippers to wear at the campsite.

By Rail - Dehradun and Rishikesh are the two closest Railway stations to Kanatal village in Uttarakhand. Dehradun is 80 kms and Rishikesh is approximately 75 kms from Kanatal. From either of the Railway Stations you can easily get a cab or a bus to Kanatal.
By Bus / taxi - Many buses ply to Kanatal from different places such as Mussoorie, Rishikesh and Chamba. Buses and taxis to Kanatal can also be accessed from major cities such as Delhi, Dehradun and Tehri and you can choose from luxury buses to sleeper buses.
By Car - You can either rent a car or take your own car up-to the Kanatal Trek campsites. There are three routes that start from Delhi which you can take. Delhi to Kanatal via Chamba; Delhi to Kanatal via Dehradun and Delhi to Kanatal via Dhanaulti.
