You have to first reach Rishikesh and then the Village of Ukhimath from where you will start your Madmaheshwar trek. The drive to Ukhimath from Rishikesh takes about 6 or 7 hours. You can reach Rishikesh by several means:
By air: You can take a flight to the Jolly Grant airport at Dehradun which is the nearest airport to Rishikesh and lies approximately 35 kilometres away. There are popular airlines that operate from Delhi, Lucknow, and various other parts of the country. Once at the airport, you can hire a taxi or avail the local bus service to Rishikesh.
By Bus: Rishikesh is well connected by a network of buses from places like Delhi, Dehradun and Haridwar. If you are traveling from Delhi, you can choose you from a regular, deluxe, or luxury coach that departs from Kashmere Gate ISBT.
By Train: The nearest railway station to Rishikesh is Haridwar which is about 25 km away. There are several popular train services that you can avail from various parts of India and once at the station you can easily reach your destination within 30 minutes by taxi
