Dehradun to Mansuna - Train Transfer via Ukhimath
The first day of the Nandi Kund trek starts with a train transfer from Dehradun to Mansura.
Enroute the train journey, bask in the beauty of the scenic towns of Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Ukhimath.
Stay overnight at the hotel in Mansura.
Drive from Mansuna to Uniana and trek to Bantoli (11 kms / 5-6 hours)
Have a healthy breakfast at Mansuna and proceed towards Uniana by taxi.
On reaching Unaina, embark on your first trek towards Bantoli.
En route, stop over for lunch and short breaks and soak in the pristine beauty around.
At Bantoli, pitch your tents and stay overnight.
Bantoli to Madhyamaheshwar (8 kms / 4-5 hours)
Have an early breakfast at Bantoli, and proceed towards Madhyamaheshwar.
The trail has some challenging climbs, but the stunning scenery makes it all worthwhile.
On reaching Madhyamaheshwar, visit the ancient and historical Lord Shiva temple that is believed to be built by Pandavas.
Later in the afternoon, visit Budar Kedar which houses the biggest shivling in the Northern India.
In the evening, watch the mesmerizing aarti and get back to your camps.
Stay overnight at Madhyamaheshwar.
Madhyamaheshwar to Kachnai Dhar (10 kms / 5-6 hours)
Have breakfast at Madhyamaheshwar and start your trek towards Kachnai Dhar.
The trail has both steep ascents and gradual descents as it winds through some of the world's most stunning landscapes.
On reaching Kachnai Dhar, proceed towards your campsite, get refreshed, explore the areas and retire for the night.
Kachani Dhar to Kachani Tal & trek to Pandav Shera (16 kms / 6-7 hours)
Today's nandikund trek itinerary takes you through places in Garhwal Himalayas steeped in Hindu mythology.
The first lapse of the trek from Kachani Dhar to Kachani Tal is short (2 km); yet, it is one of the most beautiful ones.
On reaching Kachani Tal, revel in the surrounding beauty and get geared up for the 14-long Pandava Shera trek ahead.
On reaching Pandav Shera, relax and feast on a scrumptious dinner served at the campsite.
Overnight stay at Pandav Shera.
Pandav Shera to Nandi Kund (6 kms / 3-4 hours)
After breakfast at Pandav Shera, start your trek through lush meadows and dense forests.
After crossing some steep ascents and descents, you will reach the spellbindingly beautiful Nandi Kund lake located at an altitude of 4805 metres.
Marvel at the magnificence of Nature there and stay overnight at the camp close to the lake.
Nandi Kund to Dwari Gad (12 kms / 5-6 hours)
Savor an early breakfast at Nandi Kund campsite.
Start your trek to Dwari Gad early as the trail is steep through thick jungles and meandering meadows.
On arrival at Dwari Gad, engulf the serenity of the place and relax.
Overnight stay at Dwari Gad campsite.
Dwari Gad to Dhaula Udiyar (13 kms / 5-6 hours)
Start your trek to Dhaula Udiya after having breakfast.
The trek spans for 13-km and is physically challenging. Trek through dense forests and spot many exotic flora and fauna.
When you reach Dhaula Udiyar, you can set up camp for the night and retire.
Dhaula Udiyar to Bantoli (14 kms / 6-7 hours)
Have breakfast and trek towards Bantoli through thick wooded forests.
En route, enjoy the strikingly beautiful views of the Himalayas.
Rach Bantoli before sunset, and stay overnight in tents.
Bantoli to Uniana and Drive to Ukhimath
After breakfast at Bantoli, trek towards Uniana.
On reaching, you will be transferred to Ukhimath in a vehicle.
At Ukhimath, check-in to your hotel and spend the night at the hotel room.
Ukhimath to Dehradun
This is the last day of your NandiKund trek.
Check out of your hotel room at Ukhimath and start your journey to Dehradun.
